The Art of the Web Pre: Communications Proficiency Co: This course teaches students to think critically about visual images on the World Wide Web. It examines a variety of online art museums and multimedia Web sites on architecture, design, drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, video and new media. Students learn to critique the quality of images, the content of Web sites and the technology used to present images. Discussion includes the cultural, ethical and philosophical issues raised by the proliferation of images on the Web. Fulfills open, liberal arts, and humanities electives.
