In this course, students will learn the properties of cells, anatomy, and the physiology of skin structure. They will also learn techniques in light and electrical therapy and how the skin and hair react. Additionally, students will learn the basic chemistry involved in skin and hair care as well as basic salon business responsibilities. Upon completion students will demonstrate an understanding of cell structure, light therapy and general salon management and operation.
