This course will serve as an examination of the psychological factors affecting health and wellness, including emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral aspects. Students will analyze the role of psychology in preventing illness and promoting wellness, learn about the interaction of physical health and mental health, compare various health psychology theories, gain an understanding of the health challenges facing people across the life span, and learn about the integration of psychology in medical settings.
