			A study of British drama from the reopening of the theatres in 1660 to modern times. Students will study important plays from the English Restoration and Neo-Classical period (e.g., Congreve, Dryden, Goldsmith, Sheridan), the Romantic period (e.g., Shelley), the Victorian period (e.g., Wilde, Synge, Shaw), as well as plays from the 20th Century (e.g., Pinter, Becket, Stoppard).
