Prerequisite: EME 5403 or EDA 6271, or permission of course instructor This course explores forms of synchronous and asynchronous interactive distance education from perspectives of theory and practice. Designed for K-12 and higher education instructors and administrators, as well as trainers and instructional designers from other professional settings, the course focuses on the interpretation and application of theory, research, and standards-based effective practices to the design, development, and evaluation of distance education experiences. Skills and knowledge acquired in the course will contribute to distance and classroom teaching capabilities.
