LGS, Introductory Italian I (3 credit hours). The first of a two-semester sequence in introductory Italian. Its purpose is to introduce students to Italian as it is spoken today. Emphasis on developing speaking and listening skills through intensive drills, exposure to basic structural jatterns, and structural patterns, and functional vocabulary. Study requires extensive use of audio-tapes. LGS 161 is a NASILP course. Fee. Core course.
