The purpose of this course is to provide a forum for the evaluation of issues and trends encountered in psychiatric nursing care. Many mental disorders begin in adolescence and persist across the lifespan therefore the course will explore the continuum of mental health issues. Emphasis is on critical analysis and management of issues by the adult psychiatric nurse practitioner in an interdisciplinary health care delivery system.
