The purpose of this course is to provide opportunity for the Adult-Geron nurse practitioner student to practice within an advanced nursing framework. The focus is on the role of the advanced practice nurse in the health care management of adult and geriatric patients with physical and psychiatric-mental health concerns. Emphasis is on collaboration with other health care providers in a culturally diverse environment. This clinical course will offer experience with diverse populations including young and middle aged adults and elders in a variety of settings.
