GEOL 340 -- Geographic Information Systems (4) Lecture/Lab. Introduction to basic cartograhic principles (projections, datums, etc.), theory and applications of global positioning systems, design and interpretation of maps. ArcGIS software will be used to introduce the theory and applications of GIS, create and edit maps and databases, and perform spatial analysis. Spring.
