GRCN 635 -- Education Rsearch in Curriculum and Instruction (3) The content of this course is situated in the context of four content areas studied in the program literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Teacher candidates will be introduced to the excitement that accompanies the discovery and creation of new knowledge in each of the areas, demonstrate potential and limitations of empirical research, describe the tools and methods used in general and content specific educational research. Through project based assignments teacher candidates will learn how to become intelligent consumers of and contributors to educational theory and practice. For MST part-time Ottawa program only.
