Exploration of culture and community service in Costa Rica. Students will study the language, people, history, political system, geography and the arts prior to the trip. During their site visit, they will hone their language skills and examine contemporary cultural values, socio-political structures and economic conditions through volunteer work, cultural events and ongoing readings and assignments.
