A study of classical Israelite prophetism which was characterized by sharp protests against social abuses, power politics, and religious hypocrisy, and by an urgent call to return to the roots of the Israelite faith. The prophets will be treated as outstanding examples of persons who tried to remain faithful to God's word by making it a word heard in their own day.
