This introductory course will provide students with an understanding of the language of the American legal system and most significantly, the role of the paralegal in this system. Students will be introduced to the major substantive areas of the law as well as the procedural aspects of the practice of law and professional ethics. Although students will receive a national perspective on the law, there will be coverage of Pennsylvania practice.
