Description:

Second of a two-semester algebra-based and problem-oriented introductory physics sequence. Topics normally covered include waves and sound, electricity, magnetism and optics. Time permitting, relativity, atomic and nuclear physics may be included. Meets requirements of the Pre-Medical Professions program. Does not meet requirements of physics or engineering programs. Lecture (three hours) and recitation (one hour). Prerequisite: PHYS 201 with a C or better. Spring and summer.
