This service-learning course focuses on intermediate piano skills of 2-octave scales and cadences, intermediate repertoire, sight-reading, principles of improvisation for classroom use and exposure to the advanced techniques of the MIDI piano lab. The 15 hour service-learning requirement provides time for reflection, fosters development of personal values as these relate to the National Standard for Arts Education and the principles of service-learning.
