This course provides an overview on how to provide the most effective financial stewardship for a parish, developing, maintaining, and using accounting information, records, and systems in order to make effective financial decisions. Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to: Maintain parish financial records for weekly offerings, votives, special collections, diocesan collections, school tuition, and cemetery plot purchases. Prepare annual individual contribution reports, periodic financial reports of condition for parish and school, and long-term plans for parish maintenance and growth; Develop annual parish and school budgets; Authorize payment of parish and school bills to third party vendors; Resolve bad debt issues.
