The course provides an analysis of the major federal criminal statutes that are increasingly used in the prosecution of white collar and organized criminal activity. Specific areas covered include the RICO statute, mail fraud, income tax violations, money laundering, Hobbs Act prosecutions, violations of the false statement statute, and others. Federal criminal procedural matters are also discussed throughout the course as are particular evidentiary issues occasioned by these statues.
