Topics covered will include Manifest Destiny and the U.S.-Mexican War, the Spainish-Cuban-American War of 1898, the construction of the Panama Canal, U.S. economic and military penetration of the Caribbean and Central America, the Good Neighbor policy, the CIA-backed coup in Guatemala, the Bay of Pigs invasion, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the U.S. invasion of the Deminican republic, the Contra War in Nicaragua, NAFTA, Latin American migration to the U.S., and Narco traffic.
