This course provides students with opportunities to learn examination, diagnostic, and treatment techniques required to recognize, diagnose, and manage common pathologies found in the lower extremities, leg, hip, and pelvis. Students will be instructed and evaluated on the clinical skills needed to perform a comprehensive examination including history, observation techniques, methods of palpation, range of motion assessment, manual muscle techniques, cardiovascular and neurological function assessment, as well as special tests, functional and activity-specific testing, and appropriate referral.
