Students will learn the major developmental disabilities across the lifespan. Theories of human development and occupation will be reviewed for students to understand the acquisition of functional skills and social roles. Occupational assessments are explored and relevant treatment techniques will be reviewed. Delivery models emphasizing naturalized environments and family centered models will be discussed.
