This course will examine the history of the 20th century from a global perspective within a narrative framework. Using methodology of the social sciences, students will learn and evaluate the major social, political, cultural, technological, and economic developments that have shaped the recent global experience. Special attention will be given to the unique contributions made by diverse elements to global integration, and the responsibilities of educated citizens today.
