This course will provide the student an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills concerning the starting of a business, managing a business and growing a business. This includes a determination of the legal structure, and management style appropriate for a proposed new business. The legal issues surrounding the creation of a business, including the organizational form, contracts, intellectual property rights, government regulation, hiring practices, laws related to employment and other human resource issues will be covered/discussed. Moreover, the process of management, its concepts, behaviors, and practices as appropriate/applies to small business will be reviewed. Prerequisite: BUS 7000; Eligibility: ENG 1530 Campus and term: J occasionally
