Description:
This course provides a base of knowledge of the Inmate Classification program mandated by the New York State Commission of Correction (minimum standard 7013). This course will prepare students to apply this knowledge in the workplace. Prerequisites: Students must be a sworn correction officer of a Sheriff's Office working in a county jail or correctional facility. Students must have successfully completed/currently be attending an approved New York State Commission of Corrections Basic Correction Officer School or successfully completed a New York State Department of corrections Basic Training Program.
