Description:

Study of grammar and children's literature with mandatory teaching in local elementary schools. Students will study children's fiction and poetry, and they will learn the history, structure and mechanics of the English Language. They will then design language enrichment games and exercises, which they will employ in teaching local third graders. Prerequisites: Three courses in the humanities, sophomore standing, and permission of the instructor. Students may not enroll in both ENGL20200 and SPCM20200. 3 credits. (F or S, Y)
