Topics include geriatric illnesses; environmental and safety regulations; medical emergencies; human relations aspects of patient care; nursing policy; legal, organizational and management issues of long-term care; and utilization review and medical record keeping. Special attention is given to selected long-term care models, case management services, and the role of the gerontologist in long-term care settings.
