Optical printing is a powerful tool for image manipulation in cinema. This course is designed to explore both the historical and theoretical implications of the processed image, and investigate specific techniques for optical printing, image processing and alternative special effects, as well as the ideas, applications and philosophies behind their use. Prerequisite: TVR22100. 3 credits.
