Description:
In this 2-week animation intensive course, students work as a team to produce one final animation using stop-motion and/or any other method (or methods) of their choosing. The class will design and follow a strict production schedule to bring an organized final production to life from concept to completion. The work for the production will be divided up into creative teams responsible for: concept development, project planning, storyboarding, pre-production, timing tests, animatics, character development, set/background design and construction, animation, camera operation, small-scale lighting, special effects, audio and digital post production. The final animation can be produced in: digital video, still photography, 16mm film, and/other digital or traditional animation methods. The final production format will be determined by the class as a whole. The course is open to both video production and cinema production students.
