Examination from a global strategic perspective of the management of companies with operations in multiple countries. Lectures, discussions, and analyses of cases are used to study the external environmental influences (economic, political, cultural, etc.) on company strategies; internationalization processes of firms; sources of competitive advantage for companies and countries; advantages and disadvantages of "multi-domestic" versus global strategies; links between strategy and structure in international operations; mode of entry decisions; and management of business functions such as marketing, financing, and human resources from an international perspective.
