This course covers recent developments in different areas of biological research that impact the biology curriculum in secondary schools. The course is designed to enhance the background knowledge of prospective (or current) biology teachers and introduce the students to important areas of research. Several topics will be discussed each year, and are expected to change annually. Research papers and published reviews will be used in the course, and students will learn to adapt the information in these materials for the secondary classroom. 3 credits. (U,Y)
