This course examines a wide variety of images, including paintings, sculpture, and photographs, as well as advertisements and film, in relation to the issues of gender, race, class, and sexuality. We will discuss both art history and feminist theory while investigating representations of women and men. Prerequisites: One course in art history, or sophomore standing and one course in the humanities or fine arts. 3 credits. (IRR)
