This course teaches students about Asian American history and identity issues and experiences within the framework of anthropological concepts including ¿ethnicity,¿ ¿race,¿ and ¿authenticity,¿ as well as transnationalism. In addition to reading ethnographies and novels and viewing films, students will conduct ethnographic research on Asian America. Prerequisite: one course in social science.
