An introduction to historical photographic techniques and the individuals who practiced these techniques. Students will study the early pioneers of photography, as well as their working methods. The working methods discussed in lectures and examined through readings will be put into practice through practical, hands-on experience with the materials. Students will broaden their knowledge of the history of photography as well as expand their photographic vision through the use of historical photographic processes.
