The course will introduce basic tools from automata theory to model and reason about discrete-event systems. The clasical Ramadge-Wonham supervisory theory will be covered as well as more recent topics including the contorl of Buchi automata, control for bisimulation equivalence, control for temporal logic specifications and distributed control.
