Provides the student with the opportunity to work in a social work setting on a full-time basis (400 hours total), performing all duties and responsibilities of the entry-level generalist social worker. A weekly seminar is held in conjunction with the field placement to discuss practical experience and to develop advanced social work skills. The course is open to seniors only and fulfills senior experience. Prerequisites: SW203, SW295, SW305, SW306, SW310, SW313, SW323, SW390; SW414 may be taken concurrently; successful completion of 2 social work electives; successful completion of the Academic Skills Assessment: WritingI; and 3.0 average in major courses. Offered each year. 6 credits.
