An analysis of marriage and family life is presented. The course concentrates on American society but integrates comparative systems where relevant. Areas included are conventional and radical approaches to family life, sexuality, dissolution, and marriage and family life in the middle and later years of life. Contemporary problems and approaches will be discussed. Pre- or corequisites: SO101 or permission of instructor. 3 hours lecture, one semester; 3 credits. Offered each semester.
