An analysis of criminal justice systems cross-culturally. The course will examine the organizational structure and application of criminal justice techniques globally. While concentration will center on countries with comparable systems to ours, i.e., Great Britain, Western Europe, etc. Selected examination will also include the operation of criminal justice in authoritarian, third world and emerging nations. The role of culture and custom, political and religious ideologies will be included. 3 credits.
