Financial Reporting and Analysis. This course considers the financial reporting environment; reporting choices that exist; and the role of financial information in firm valuation, cash flow analysis credit risk assessment and contracting. Topics traditionally included in intermediate accounting are covered by analyzing key business transactions, identifying the related accounting alternatives, and highlighting the impact of these transactions on the financial statements and measures of performance such as profitability, competitiveness and leverage. This course is designed to be taken as either a one-semester course or as part of the two-semester 301-302 sequence.
