Join lifelong Dutchess county resident Seth Lyon for walks and hikes focused on leisure enjoyment and improving physical fitness. Beginning with a one mile walk on an improved carriage road, the course will progress to multiple mile hikes on increasingly challenging trails. Participants will learn the nearby "best hikes" and gain the outdoor skills necessary to enjoy a day of hiking. You'll have a great time learning skills, natural history, local histroy and exploring the peace found in the outdoors. From spectacular views of the Hudson River to wooded groves and the Applachian Trail, the Hudson Valley region is ideal for hiking. Get out and enjoy the rewards of hiking. These outings provide time to meet new friends and to learn the skills necessary to head out on your own adventures.
