The sailing course is an 11 hour instructor led course consisting of an organizational classroom meeting followed by on-the-water instruction that provides hands-on sailing instruction on a 27 ft. Sailing Sloop. The course covers sail trim, maneuvering, anchoring, docking, man overboard, radio procedures, rules of the road, diesel engine operation, basic navigation on the Hudson River and related sailing and safety fundamentals. No experience needed. Experienced sailors can fine tune their nautical skills.
