This is a power point / lecture explaining who the Office of the Medical Examiner is and what they do. A review of the obvious signs of death, a description in great detail of the post-mortem changes that occur, an explanation of an autopsy and how those findings can be used will be covered in the class. A major component of the lecture will show what the EMS community can do to help the Office of the Medical Examiner during an investigation.
