Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a leading cause of death and disability in children and adults in their most productive years. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers are often the first health care providers for patients with TBI. Students will be taught recognition of complex presentations, early signs and symptoms, and initial treatment of patients with TBI. Students will receive course completion certificates through the Brain Trauma Foundation.
