Patient care technicians work in hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long term care facilities, assisted living facilities and nursing homes performing a variety of job duties under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. Typical job duties are helping to feed, clean and dress patients, checking pulse andrespiration. blood pressure and other vital signs, turning and positioning patients. There will be instruction in understanding Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology.
