For instrumentalists of all ages: intermediate level and above. Klezmer is a musical tradition of Easterm European Jewish populations. This music is known for its emotionally expressive quality, with sounds described by some musicologists as ranging from a groaning wailing, sobbing, to laughing. Traditional instruments were violin, clarinet and hammered dulcimer, but modern Klezmer styles include accordion, drums, brass instruments, flute, upright bass and harmonica and nearly everything else!
