This course will emphasize reading and writing in the content area for grades 4-8. Instruction will focus on various instructional processes, techniques for teaching reading and writing, differentiated literacy programs, assessment practices and procedures and review of Pennsylvania literacy standards as well as the NCTE/IRA standards and vision for effective instruction of language arts. Prerequisite: EDU 112 or EDU 100.
