This course emphasizes the competencies identified by the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and the National Core Arts Standards for pre-kindergarten to fourth grade children in the content area of arts and humanities. Students will examine methods and strategies essential in the instruction of the production, performance, and exhibition of music, dance, theater, and visual arts. Students will learn of cultural and historical contexts, and develop an understanding of aesthetic and critical response to a variety of art mediums. Prerequisite: EDU 100
