The nursing process is utilized to explore theories of health promotion and restoration in the aging population and in chronic illness. Various cultural and complimentary modalities used in health restoration are introduced with a focus on family support and community resources. Holistic care of client and family with end of life issues and the dying process are also included. Research studies are related to nursing of patients with acute and long-term illness in both the community and hospital setting Three hours lecture and six hours clinical are scheduled per week. (6 credits)
