The nursing process is utilized to apply health related care concepts to self, families, groups and communities. The student is introduced to family dynamics and family assessment within various cultures. Therapeutic communication, interview and teaching skills are further developed. Emphasis is on improved self-concept and greater self-awareness. Three hours lecture and two hours clinical are scheduled per week. The course fulfills the human diversity requirement. (4 creits).
