This course will challenge the student to develop an in-depth and working knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) classification of mental disorders. Designed to complement and build on the student's learning experience in the "Origins of Mental Illness" class, students will learn to utilize the current DSM in a hands-on fashion to formulate multiaxial diagnostic impressions of mental disorders.
