Description:
This course concentrates on the contribution of psychology to the understanding and treatment of physical problems. Particular emphasis is placed on the treatment of disorders such as hypertension, eating disorders, and chronic headaches in children and adolescents. Students will become familiar with the clinical research applying behavior techniques to the treatment of a number of specific medical disorders, and will be able to discuss the relative merits of various approaches to these disorders.
