Important issues related to teaching preschool-3 will be emphasized. Methods, curriculum and assessment specific to early childhood education will be reviewed, as will the relationship of family and community to the student, classroom environment and promotion of social competence. Includes an integrated 10- hour observational practicum. Prerequisite: MED 506, MED 559 or concurrent enrollment.
